For many years I traveled back and forth between Québec and Nova Scotia spending about six months in each location. The frigid winters in Québec really inspire me - maybe it’s the feeling of hardship against the elements. In Nova Scotia the wind and sea present another kind of edge, something to push against. Warm tropical landscapes don’t appeal to me much - I’ll trade those Southern vacations for a trip to Iceland any day.
